A tale of woe and disappointment

Occasionally he gets it out and struggles to make a label for something, but it really isn't cutting it. What would you do?

Can you take it back to the shop? Ring up?

Ducky did this a while ago with one of B's Star Wars toys - write again, and send that picture with it!

I suppose I could take it back, but it was bought in October, and of course the receipt is long gone...

Emailling them might be a better plan.

Tell them that you'll post every day about how disappointed he is so that it's the first thing found on a Google search of the product.

Using the picture.

Oh Liz, good plan!! The 'email them' option is ok, but they have a web form to avoid spam, so not sure if I can post the picture. Thinking of ringing the customer service number, but it's now after 5 on friday arvo.

I have trouble with my dymo labelmaker, too, mostly with getting the tape to move through smoothly, because I would make a label, use the cutter setting, and then the tape would get stuck.

Now, when I've made a label, I use the little release button on the side to make the tape run free, then pull the tape through and cut off with scissors instead of the inbuilt cutter. Then it's ready to go the next time. You waste a little tape, but it's WAY less frustrating.

Does that help at all?

PS Sorry it took me so long to get around to saying this!

Hmm. Ducky we may have a different model as I'm not sure there is a release button on D's. A lot of the problem is that the tape often won't feed enough to actually make the label... no worries on the timing - I haven't got D in the right place to ring them up and hassle them either.
